Keyword Linking
When writing ads or website content do your visitors a favor and help them find what they want quickly by linking to relevant keywords. The fact that you are considerate enough to guide your visitors to pertinent pages is often rewarded by return visits.
For example, if you have built web pages about wooden desks but wanted to rank high for maple wood desks then include these terms in urls: ex. www.mysite.com/maplewooddesks.html. Do the same with anchor text in articles and site maps that send visitors to these pages.
There is nothing worse than having someone go back to the search engines to continue looking for more relevant content.
Make sure your pages stay focus on the topic and are keyword rich but, don’t over do it. Remember you don’t want search engines to penalize you for keyword stuffing.
Bloggers are a prime example of how keyword linking is used by creating a blogroll of related links.
Blogrolls can be links to your own or other sites on the same topic.
Include keyword links in categories, subcategories and images.
